Caught up in the Game is a site that I created to share my artwork that I have such a great passion for. I have been drawing athletes for twenty years, since Jerry Rice was in his prime, Charles Barkley was NBA most valuabe player, and Ken Griffey Jr. was an up and coming young star. Through the years my art has progressed and I believe I have found myself a niche in the sports art world. Unlike the majority of existing art that solely focuses on capturing the athlete in action, my art tell two sides of the athlete. As I continue to draw sport personalities I am also expanding my art to include musicians, actors, and those interested in commissioning me to draw family portraits.
Sports has always been a part of my life. I grew up in Chicago where I lettered in cross country and track and also played hockey. After moving to Arizona, where I currently reside, my family and I have enjoyed going to and participating in sporting events together. I was the coach of my son's hockey team and believe that sharing sports as a common passion with my children has brought us closer. Thus, I think of my art as a way of giving back and paying tribute to the athletes that we have enjoyed so greatly over the years. Recently I was able to give each athlete who I have drawn the first print of their drawing to hang up in their homes. my drawings are limited editions of which only twenty prints are made.
Drawing has become a part of my life that I enjoy very much and would like to share it with you. I invite you to look at my drawings and would love to hear your comments. My e-mail address is on my contact us page. I look forward to hearing from you. |
